Answer:it is because- Red light is absorbed by photosystem II that is membrane-bound. On the other hand, blue light is absorbed by chlorophyll and carotenoids . but some carotenoids are not found in chloroplasts. ... So that blue colour of light is absorbed in maximum amount but maximum rate of photosynthesis occur in red light.
