The melting and boiling points increase down the group because of the van der Waals forces. The size of the molecules increases down the group. This increase in size means anincrease in the strength of the van der Waals forces

boiling and melting point increases as you go down the group this is because the strength of the van der waals forces increases since atom have more electrons as the deseced the group volatility descreas down the group as the boiling increases as you down group 7
