Why melting is considered as a physical change


Monalsharma2006: because physical change are reversible and irreversible so we can get back the ice from water
VikasMada: it is a physical change because here the change is not permanent and it is reversible and also when this change ocuured there are no new products came

A physical change is a change in which the chemical properties DOES NOT CHANGE. In this change only PHYSICAL PROPERTIES LIKE SHAPE, SIZE, STATE OF MATTER CHANGES.

Since changing of solid to liquid is a change in state of matter, so the process of melting is considered as physical change
