Why melting point and boiling point of ionic compound is high explain?

Because of high electromagnetic force between particles

It can be understood by the concept of amino acid . The amino acids ,being zwitter ions have  a strong dipole-dipole bond which is not easy to break . This is also the reason why they do not dissolve in water. But not all ionic compounds e.g. NaCl
