melting of wax is a reversible change because it is a physical change.candle can be given the same shape it was before with the help of the melted wax..

but

burning a candle is a irreversible change because it produces heat and light and other gases which cannot be reversed ( even after giving the candle the shape it was the gases and the light can't be taken back....
