Why meristematic tissue lack vacoules? Write the location and function of different types of meristematic tissue?

meristematic tissues lack vacuoles as they contain prominent nuclei and thin cellulose. they lack vacuoles because they are a great hindrance in the division of cells by the meristematic tissue.
there are three types of meristematic tissues.
1) apical Meristem - they are located in the tips of root and shoot. helps in the lengthwise increase.
2) Lateral Meristem- they are located in the parallel sides of stem. they help in increase in girth .
3) intercalary meristem- they are located at base of leaves and internodes. they help in length of leaves.
