why meristmem tissues have no vacuoles
Answers
Answer:
Meristematic cells have a prominent nucleus and cytoplasm because they are actively dividing cells so in order to control their activities the require a nucleus and a cytoplasm. They lack vacuoles because they do not need to store anything and just keep on dividing.
1. Meristematic cells divide frequently and give rise to new cells and hence they need dense cytoplasm and thin cell wall. Vacuoles causes hindrance in cell division as it is full of cell sap to provide turgidity and rigidity to the cell.
