why metal not burn but non metal burn

as metal does not have the property to burn and non metals have this property

who said that metal not burn ya , it burns but it takes too long to burn in comparison of non- metal .

so , we can say that non - metal burns ,

the reasons are :-

metal's intermolecular spaces are very strong such that a large amount of heat is needed to break that intermolecular force .

but , non- metal has just opposite case of metal it's intermolecular force is very little that's y it don't require a large amount of heat and easily get burnt.
