ANSWER :

METALS TENDS TO LOSE ELECTRON TO FORM BOND WITH NON METAL

METAL ARE DONARS OF ELECTRON AND NON METALS ARE ACCEPTORS OF ELECTRON

SO THE METAL DOESNOT ACCEPT ELECTRON BECAUSE IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO FORM OCTET

SO METAL DOESNOT REACT WITH OTHER METAL

Metals like aluminium, iron and zinc do not react either with cold or hot water. But they react with steam to form the metal oxide and hydrogen. Metals such as lead, copper, silver and gold do not react with water at all.
