Why metal sodium stored in kerosene and non-metal phosphorus stored in water(Write reason)​

Answer:

sodium is stored in kerosene because sodium is highly reactive metal. It react very fast with oxygen that's why sodium is stored in kerosene and kerosene doesn't contain oxygen.

Phosphorus is stored in water because it is highly reactive with sunlight that's why phosphorus is stored in water and water doesn't allow sunlight to pass through it.
