bcoz ,  Acid+ Bases =  salt

and     base+ non-metallic oxides = salt

∴ non-metallic oxides are basic in nature thus they are acidic oxides

and similarly,

metallic oxides + acids = salt

∴ metallic oxides are acidic in nature and thus are basic oxides.
