Hello buddy..
Na and k are metals but however they can be cut with knife due to weak Vender wall forces present between their particles..
They are not as hard when compared with other metal..

because as they r metals they r need to b hard as per their properties ...but their r few cases of exceptance such as na and k r soft in texture, gallium melts at room temperature and so on because the r the cases if exceptance.
