why metals of low reactivity series react with steam to form ((metal oxide)) and why metal of high reactivity series react with cold water to form ((metal hydroxide))?​

metals at low reactivity series are good and we can also say that best reducing agents and the work of reducing agents is that they can reduce the other metals and oxidized themselves thats why they form metal oxides with steam and for high reactivity series it is vice versa
