why methyl chloride is gas at room temperature?

I thought about it, and I think it does have to do with CH4CHX4 is non polar, so it does not tend to stick to each other (gas state), while CH3ClCHX3Cl is polar, so it does stick, such as like H2OHX2O, which is liquid and is cohesive, so CH3ClCHX3Cl would be as well. Anyone able to tell me if I am on the right path?

I thought that it's electrostatic force is less that's why it is liquid at room temperature
