Why Mg does not react with cold water?

THERE IS UR ANOTHER ANSWER....
Mg can not react with cold water because to react with water molecules Mg need to loose one electron to give it to oxygen atom but magnesium cannot do so because magnesium is less reactive so we need to give some energy to it in the form of heat so that Mg can loose one electron and form a bond to produce magnesium OXIDE
