There are many types of micro-organisms. Some such as those present in milk , are good for us as they provide lots of essential nutrients. Even the microbes present in soil are useful as they decompose organic matter into manures which can be used by the soil.
But there are also other microbes such as viruses and bacteria , which can be deadly towards human beings. ( Such as the ongoing pandemic caused due to a new species of coronavirus ). These will slowly cause our body to decay and if it is not eliminated from the body , it could lead to death.
This is why micro-organisms are known as friends as well as foes.
