Microorganisms are important in everyday lives.  

Some are responsible for significant proportion of diseases affecting humans, plants and animals while others are very important in maintenance and modification of environment.

They are antigens which confer immunity for our body and protect us from diseases.

We had developed oil eating bacteria and bacteria containing human insulin gene.

Foods for example curd, bread and alcoholic beverages are generated due to some microbial reactions.
