In the middle zone, partial combustion of the fuel takes place, so the colour of the flame is yellow and it is moderately hot part of the flame.

Bonjour!❤️

Partial combustion of the combustible substances takes place in the middle zone of a flame due to insufficient supply of oxygen in this region. The middle zone consists of unburnt carbon particles which becomes red hot and imparts yellow color to the flame.
