Russification was opposed by the many community people of Russia. They reasoned their opposition to the Russification as it tends to eradicate the identities of the peoples. They feared that it would destroy all tribal and religious identities of the people.

Russification, a form of cultural assimilation process which was also known as the Russianization. The process that requested Non-Russian communities of  Russia to give up their culture in favor of Russian.  This process led to a great chaos in Russia among the Islam people of Russia.
