Why might you complete a 1040 instead of a 1040EZ?

You own a home. Home ownership complicates your income statement return, as there are many deductions and additional taxes that you may owe. The 1040EZ is geared toward a more bare-bones return (you have no dependents and make less than $100,000/year, and cannot itemize any deductions). This makes a 1040 a more appropriate choice than a 1040EZ if you own a home

You own a home, is the right answer.
The 1040EZ is created to support an added bare-bones reimbursement (for people who had no depend-ants such as ladies & children and generally make under $ 100,000 annually). On the other hand, 1040 is a created to support someone who generally makes more than $ 100,000 and have properties.
