Heyy mate here is your answer....
Good salary for secure future. Actually salary is a major reason why people change jobs within the same country also. In India, government jobs are very attractive. (What is so special about jobs in public sector will make another big query!) Some of my friends have moved to Dubai (UAE) as UAE offers tax-free salary and good salary package.
Good living conditions and cleanliness. This answer was also given by other friends in this thread. One of my close friends in Egypt is actively seeking job elsewhere as he is worried about the political conditions in Egypt. Likewise, there are many people who like to move to west or safe countries like Malaysia, Singapore etc. In Dubai also, living conditions are very good and transport is great with metro etc.
Education. This is a major factor! In my own case, I preferred to do my doctorate degree in USA and chose a great guide also in control engineering. As most of us like our children to get best education, we may plan to immigrate to countries in west which excel in education with top-ranked Universities, eminent faculty, nice infrastructure etc.
Political Reasons. There are many people in countries which are affected by war or terorr-groups to move to safe countries. As safety comes first, immigration is a top choice for the well-qualified people in these countries.
Relatives / Friends. Once some of our close relatives and friends immigrate and settle in a country, they invite others also (to get company) and promote the family / friendship interests. Researchers invite their former colleagues to immigrate as collaboration may be easier, etc. After my uncle first immigrated to USA (long ago), he invited many of us and now in a chain of events, many of my family members have immigrated to USA.
Star Trek People. There are also some adventurous people, who like to immigrate and settle in new countries to learn new culture, new civilization, may be, find new soul-mate also! In Star Trek language (I am very fond of Captain James Kirk, Spock TV episodes / movies also) -"
Hope it helps you.....!(^^)(^^)
