Why milkiness disappear when excess of co2 is passed through calcium carbonate?

when caco3 reacts with excess co2 and water it forms hydrogen carbonate or calcium bicarbonate. thus these are soluble in water that's why the mikiness dissolves in water

when CO2 gas is passed through lime water it turns milky due to the formation of calcium carbonate which formula is CaCO3. when excess of carbon dioxide is passed through calcium carbonate calcium hydrogen carbonate is formed and solution become colourless.
