Miller's experimental set-up was similar to the environmental conditions that was prevalent 4.5 billion years back. That time temperature was very high and the atmosphere was reducing in nature i.e no oxygen was present. That's why he Did not include oxygen in his experiment.

Slowly inorganic compounds were formed from gases in atomic form. From inorganic compounds simple organic compounds like methane was formed. And slowly amino acids, fatty acids and sugars were produced. Miller's experimental set-up also produced these products.
