In plant ' mitosis' is called as ' acentric ' because humans and plants are not same or
in plant fragment of chromosome formed during cell division , that lacks the centromere.
So , the fragment will be unable to follow the rest of chromosome in migration towards one or other pole as they has point as it lost its point of attachment to the spindle.
