Why mn blood group system is not used to determine blood group?

The MN blood group system is under the control of an autosomal locus found on chromosome 4, with two alleles designated LM and LN. The blood type is due to a glycoprotein present on the surface of red blood cells, which behaves as a native antigen.
The ABO system refers to one set of antigens on red blood cells coded by the ABO gene. ... The Rh blood group system refers to a set of 50 antigens, but Rh factor refers only to the D antigen. If you are Rh positive, you have the D antigen and don't produce the corresponding antibody.


I think the ABO Blood group system is more convenient...
