why modern democracies have representative government

Hey,

This is because most countries which practice democracy are large where there is difficulty for people to sit and take all decisions regarding administration.
 
so they mostly follow representative democracy because people elect their representatives who sit together in a parliament and can easily take all decisions.

-All people in India do not have such knowledge and time to look on country's affair.
-Because the size of the present states are very large so it is not easy to gather at one place.
