monocoque do not produce wood because wood refers to the cells inside the interface large ring formed by the fusion of Cambus in dicots
reason for monocot for not producing wood is that it contains closed vascular bundles so that there is no formation of cells and we cannot obtain wood from a monocot plant
why secondary division led to the formation of a hard substance like wood ? This can be explained by the formation of new cells through new cells presses the older cells to squeeze and die and firm a hard mass
the cells on periphery form sap wood and are soft wood
the cells at the centre form hard wood and are tough
the main reason for the formation of wood is the difference in the growth if Cambus in different seasons
