Answer:

We say It magnet when attraction takes place thus it necessary to have two poles .

Explanation:

Just as the two faces of a current loop cannot be physically separated, magnetic North pole and the South pole can never be separated even on breaking a magnet to its atomic size. A magnetic field is produced by an electric field and not by a monopole.

Answer:

This is a very elementary question in the field of magnetostatics and I can find several qualitative answers here but things would have been a lot more easy to convince had it been with the help of a bit of mathematics, which I shall be be trying here in this answer.

But before I begin, I do admit that the world of science is getting weird every day and recently some research did claim to have found something of magnetic monopole but I am not too sure if such results have been critically approved or experimentally proven so as to be accepted officially. So I will stick to my knowledge and show you why Magnetic monopole do not exist.

Before moving on to anything else let me remind you that magnetism is a result of electricity. Yes, electric current is the only source of any sort of magnetic field. Even the magnetism of a bar magnet can be explained as a result of tiny current loops that are generated due to movement of electrons (charged particles) around the nucleus.

Explanation:

That means magnetic lines of force B⃗ B→close into themselves and do not have source and sinks of magnetic flux.

Thus it shows that magnetic monopole unlike electric charges do not exist.

The prove above can also be done in a more rigorous method applying the concept of multipole expansion, but i have here shown the easier way.

Note:

∇⃗ f(r)=f′(r)rr⃗ ∇→f(r)=f′(r)rr→
