There is a gravitational attraction force between the mass of Earth and mass of Moon. Moon being very close to Earth as compared to other planets or stars, Moon is influenced mostly by Earth's gravity.
So the orbit of Moon is more or less less disturbed by other planets. So it remains nearly fixed. However, if you see round the year, the orbit of Moon is not the same. Sometimes the moon is more towards North East and some times moon is more towards South East. The plane of the orbit changes a little.
