Answer:
They have wrong notion or might not be looking things in correct perspective One might agree or disagree with his ideology but there shouldn't be anything like hatred for him.. One reason might be that godse’s court statement people believe like anything. In that statement godse had blamed only Gandhi for partition and in a way had given clean chit to everyone else. In reality Gandhi alone can't be blamed, he had accepted it unwillingly. godse said that Gandhi cheated people by accepting partition “cheated people” is wrong to say. It is true that initially he had assured that he won't let partition happen but later accepted it, still it can't be said as “cheated people Reason is- it is not that Gandhi kept people in dark and suddenly accepted it on 14 Aug -1947 Jinnah and Muslim league were working on it since 1939–40.In 1946 he declared direct action day followed by communal violence. Post this violence sardar patel and Nehru decided that it is better to separate instead of staying together and indulging in communal violence. After that Gandhi also accepted unwillingly in 1946.Mountbatten took a press conference in June 1947 and declared the independence and partition, documents were signed by Sardar Patel from Indian side. Partition line, Radcliff line was drawn for 3–4 months Everything was known to public. After Gandhi accepted, those who were against partition should had done something to shake up British and Jinnah but NO ONE did anything. And ironically people blame only Gandhi for partition.
