Why most of domestically useful items are replaced by plastic?

The main reasons are as follows:

• Plastics are cheap to manufacture

• Plastics items can be quickly and easily made

• Almost any item, hard or flexible, and any design can be made out of plastic"

Plastic does note corrode and since light in weight, easy to carry so useful items are replaced by plastic
