carbon has the property that when it burn it produce a lot of energy.
Carbon Compound + Oxygen = carbon dioxide +
heat and light + water vapour
It is present in the whole earth. Carbon have some special properties that it was tetravalent(have 4 valency) which help carbon to combine with more atoms of different element. Second main property that it has property of catanation.
