Having fewer people means less use of natural resources and therefore less pollution. Peacefulness results from fewer people attempting to survive. Finally, dependent upon the definition of mountain regions, some are high plains with peaks and others may not have high plains. No high plains means very small populations and probably will restrain the growth of food crops which in turn will mean fewer people.

Mountainous regions are very peaceful and less polluted beacuse very less people or we can say that no one lives there. On the mountains no vehicles are used so there's no chance of pollution.
