The first mughal emperor who was invited to kashmir was jalal-Ud-Din mohammad akbar, and he was also the first mughal king who followed the pir Panchal route now known as Mughal route. THE PAN SARAI WAS NAMED SO AS THE MUGHALS HAD BUILT SEVERAL INNS THERE.
