Muhammed bin tughlaq is considered the wisest fool as during his rule art,architecture and literature flourished. he was highly interested in religion, matgematics etc. but some of the things he had implemented did not give any good results.

1. transfer of capital from delhi to devagiri to daulatabad due to constant attack of mongols in delhi and because delhi had famine n daulatabd was more centrally located.
2. introduced token currency. he replaced silver tankas with copper tankas. it caused the production of fake copper tankas and caused corruption in trade n commerce.
3.taxation in doab. he increased the taxes in doab but the farmers residing there couldn't pay as they had a bad harvest. tughlaq ordered the distribution of grains n loans to the farmers bit it was too late.
4. plan of conquest of persia caused wastage of money as the journey to persia was difficult and he had already paid his soldiers a full months salary.
