In unicellular organism, they are small in body size, easily exchange of gases takes place,by process of osmosis

While in multicellular organisms, they have large surface body design,so it is not possible for gas to reach each n every cell ,so it needs specialized organs

vijayvargiyashivi: Answer: A reason is that multicellular organisms need special organs for exchange of gases with the environment because of prokaryotic cells found in the body. The cells are not in contact with the environment and therefore diffusion would not work in the exchange of gases.

✔️A reason is that multicellular organisms need special organs for exchange of gases with the environment because of prokaryotic cells found in the body.

✔️The cells are not in contact with the environment and therefore diffusion would not work in the exchange of gases.

✔️The organs in the body therefore serve this purpose.
