It is a boon because of the following reasons...
1. However, it stops flood but sometimes it maybe the cause of the flood.
2. It has disturbed the eco- system of the life.
3. It may cause the water borne disease.
4. Life of the people of that place or area can be disturbed, they have migrate from one place to another.
5. Deforestation can be caused due to the construction of the dam.
6. It may lead to soil erosion.
