Answer:

The All-India Muslim League (popularised as the Muslim League) was a political party established in 1906 in British India. Its strong advocacy for the establishment of a separate Muslim-majority nation-state, Pakistan, successfully led to the partition of India in 1947 by the British Empire.

Explanation:

The League was founded to represent the Muslim of India(undivided British India) on the pan India political stage. The League earlier had primarily two objectives-

Securing equal civil rights and freedom to free profession of religion for muslims in India, and

Getting muslims of India a certain political protection through some constitutional safeguards like reservation of some seats in the house for muslims(separate electorates), etc.

Both of these objectives were formulated while keeping in mind a independent India, naturally dominated by the hindus; muslims feared for their legal, political and cultural rights in a independent hindu dominated India. Originally the League was against the demand of “swaraj” or complete independence, but had to later give in to the popular wave. It was only after 1937 the Pakistan Movement become the sole and the most important objective of the All India Muslim League.

So to sum it all up-

THE ALL INDIA MUSLIM LEAGUE WAS FOUNDED TO PROTECT AND WORK FOR THE INDIAN MUSLIMS, IT WAS A PRO-MUSLIM POLITICAL PARTY.
