Oh... this problem also hit you in Minecraft, though I play Minecraft Java Edition, and this also happened to me when I tried to use SEUS PTGI 11 Shaderpack with Umsoea 5 and Umsoea 6, then a openGL error was shown and Minecraft was crashing... later I discovered multiple reasons why it was crashing and the reasons were my Graphics card was not so powerful / 4 GB was not enough as it was also showing "out of memory" and I also found out that I didn't downloaded new graphics drivers (NVIDEA) + my OS has got a new update which I didn't updated (Windows 10 Pro 64-Bits) and scheduled it to update later... so what I did is updated every stuff related to it (Also the launcher) and then went to NVIDEA control panel and then set the dedicated graphics to only run Minecraft and other heavy programs only and set all other things to my integrated graphics...And now no more problems has occurred till date.

Now, from your question maybe it's not about openGL version problem but the problem can be that you've not updated drivers and also the OS.

BTW, now I can run Minecraft smoothly with around 35 FPS with SEUS PTGI 12 and Umsoea resource packs on the same laptop after fixing the issues and also the new SEUS shaders are less heavy as compared to the last one.

Give a try by updating the drivers...it will surely help you...
