Sodium and Potassium belong to the same group in the periodic tabel (Group I). Both of them are electropositive elements. ... So, a chemical reaction between both these elements is not going to establish octant state for either of them. SO, they dont react with each other.

Sodium can form covalent bonds but they are so weak that they would only exist if the Na2 molecule thus formed never came into contact with anything else. So, in practical reality, it’s simpler to say it will never form. I suppose it is possible that somewhere out in space there is a couple of Na2 molecules somewhere.
