Why natural selection favours body size for some organisms?

This is because natural selection is based on the concept of "survival of the fittest"..

So, organisms having benificial features like size, colour etc that help them to survive in a way better than their contemporary variants in the environment is supported by the nature.

natural selection says the fittest survive in struggle for existence so...
