Why nature wool is attacked by moths but acrylic wool is not ?

the wool is the remains of a living cells, which could be used as a food source by insects, such as moth. Acrylic wool, on the other hand, is produced from synthetic sources, such as plastics or nitriles. ... That would be because the natural wool fiber is produced by a living thing, a sheep

Wool is made from living organisms which consist of living as well as dead cells. It is naturally available in nature. Hence it is attacked by parasites like moths. But on the other hand synthetic wool is made by artificial methods hence it is not attaked parasites as it doesn't contains any cell
