This all are the mathematicals methods given by mathematicians.

suppose we want to find what is:
-2×-3= ?
let's use what we know
suppose I take
-2 and add 2 to it I get zero
-2+2=0
now i multiply LHS and RHS with -3
-3(-2+2)=0×-3
this simplifies into
-3×-2+-3×2=0
-3×-2-6=0
-3×-2=6
thus we find out that negative times negative is positive .....
if it's so then only our math works correctly....
then why mathematics works like this , what the real connection between positive and negative and why mathematics can't exit without it
it's all based on our definitions and the practical use people find with it....and we build up the new concepts based on this definitions
suppose u try to go back in the following steps of derivation u find out that if u don't agree that negative times negative is positive then our agreement of a number added to inverse is 0 breaks ...
