Heya friend ..

The process of neutralisation is exothermic .

Exothermic reaction is a reaction in which heat is produced .

During the process of neutralisation heat is also produced ... therefore it is an exothermic reaction .

For example .... when acid and base (of the equal quantity ) mix with each other .. they neutralise and in this process heat is also produced making it an exothermic reaction ..

Hope it helps ..
