it is because newspapers provide the correct information about daily matters going in the nation as well as the region where the people live.Newspapers are a part of fourth pillar of democracy,the media.As newspapers give us the real information about the government going in the country whether the government is in the form of monarchy or democracy.So newspapers are called as light house of democracy.
