Hey mate here is your answer..
Due to small size of nitrogen, electrons are localised hence can easily donate the electrons hence show basic character easily
Where as phosphorous having large size as compared to nitrogen the electrons are delocalized hence cannot easily donate
the electrons therefore it is less basic.

NH3is more basic than ph3 because it has larger bond length...and easily to remove H+ ion....hope it's helpful for you
