why nichrome used as a heating element

nichrome has a melting point of 1400°C which can be as solid upto 1350°C and has a high resistance towards electricity which produces large amount of heat

BECAUSE IT IS A ALLOY AND IT IT NOT BURNS READILY AT HIGH TEMPERATURE
