Why Nicola and jacopo did not disclose their problem to the author

the two dedication bound children Nicola and jacopo thought it unworthy of the self respect to disclose their problem to the author as they were evasive and kg they had not asked for help from anybody to treat their sister there determination to work and to work with full dedication was the thing which was the magnet which had drawn the other two words themselves

Because they wanted to keep it a secret and didnt want anyones sympathy or help.They were hard working and took delight in doing everything by themselves
