Hello mate !!
Here's your answer
As we all know India is a secular country. So in India we all are equal and our Constitution didn't give any special status to any one particular religion. In India there is no official religion . Our Constitution provides to all individuals and communities freedom to profess ,practice and propagate any religion or not to follow any religion. Our government can't take side of any religion. To ensure equality, peace and harmony among people. That's why no religious festival or practice is allowed in government run institutions.
Hope my answer will help you :)
