Why no sound is produced when a person waves his or her hand?

thats because the minimum to and fro motion needed is 20 vibration per second to hear sound. human hand cannot wave 20 times in a second, so sound is not produced.

When a person waves his hands then due to the compression of air, sound is produced but, that is of so low frequency sound wave which is not audible to us. Infrasonic sound is produced.
